What is AKB48 Single Selected Members General Election?
AKB48 Single Selected members and coupling songs’members, are elected by fans' vote. Members are ranked according to the number of votes they received. The top 16 members can take part in the title songs in the next single. Members who ranked 17th to 80th, every 16 members will take part in a coupling song for the next single.
Our target?
Our target is to enter the top 7 and become one of the Godly 7!
Despite being the founding member of the group, she has never been selected as one of the Godly 7! To graduate like that must upset her much.
At least we have to help her enter the top 16!
In the previous years, she had always been surpassed in the election campaigns and had never made it to the final. There isn’t a significant growth in the number of fans of the other members. So it is really us to blame for not being able to help her enter the final. Minami Minegishi also said that she want to enter top 16 and give her solo speech, so let her enjoy this honorable moments on the stage.
The followings are the figures of votes in the previous election campaigns. It seems unlikely that we can help her to become one of the Godly 7, yet it is manageable for her to enter the top 16 if we work harder.
To achieve our goals, here is what we can do:
1. The rule of 40% growth
For those who voted last year, please increase your number of votes for at least 40%. (30% to go for the number of votes of last year Best 16 + 10% increase in the number of votes of best 16 border line). This year, thanks to the NGT48 mobile site and the teams’ mobile email as well as the voting chances brought by the concerts’ tickets, her votes are expected to increase drastically. But please don’t limit yourself to a 40% increase in the number of votes if you are able to help more.
2. Turn your support into votes
For those who didn’t vote last year, or students who don’t have much money, we do appreciate your support for Minami Minegishi. But please try your best to turn your support into action! Vote for her! It just costs around US$10. Students can also afford it so please show us your support. Many a little makes a mickle! It is the key to success! You can make a difference!
3. Seek help from your friends
Please ask your colleagues, your schoolmates and all your friends to vote for Minami Minegishi. With each vote costs only around US$10, save the money of one or two meals then you can cast a vote! There was much media coverage on Minami Minegishi about her hair shaving a few years ago and her recent slimming advertisement. It is very likely that many people actually have heard about her and might even become her fans. Don’t be shy! Try to speak to the people around you, you might be surprised to find out a few Minami’s fans! Who knows?
